on-the bias: a fashion, beauty & lifestyle blog: Eye Eye, Captain!

Yes, I stole my post title from the packaging...
I don't sleep. I mean, I'm not a Twilight-esque vampire, obviously, but I can't remember the last time I got eight hours...I can't even remember the last time I got more than about five, and even that's a luxury. Which really doesn't do my eyes many favours; lately, the dark circles that seem to plague 90% of Mediterraneans have worsened, and on more than one occasion, I've awoken to more than slightly puffy eyes.
Naturally, I've been wanting to remedy this for a while, but am generally a little skeptical about eye gels and creams, following a bad experience with an Avon eye gel years ago (sensitive skin = nothing but trouble!); however, upon a recent trip to Westfield, I noticed a brand I didn't recognise in Superdrug - The Beauty Parlour - ever curious about new brands, I was keen to give it a go, and their 'Dark Circle and Puffy Eye Treatment' soon caught my eye.
At £6.99, this is one of the cheaper roll-ons on the market (Garnier's caffiene roll-on, for instance, retails at around £10), but you wouldn't guess so from the quality of the product; the formula applies evenly and absorbs into the skin quickly, leaving behind a cool, soothing sensation, and no oily residue.
After just a few uses, I have noticed a slight difference in the puffiness of my eyes when I wake up in the morning, though not a huge difference in the under-eye circles. I do think, with continuous use, there'd be a more marked difference, so I'm going to stick with it, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's having similar problems!

The Beauty Parlour's Dark Circle and Puffy Eye Treatment is available for £6.99 from Superdrug stores, or online, here.
